Young Adult Travel

Global partnerships have provided life-changing experiences for many in our synod and we want to make those experiences more accessible to young adults. As part of our goal to raise up the next generations of leaders, the Saint Paul Area Synod has received funds to subsidize the cost for young adults to travel with congregational delegations to visit our companions in Guatemala and Tanzania. The travel grants are available as the result of the synod’s Planting Hope Campaign.

Applicants ages 16-35 are invited to apply for a grant of up to half the total cost of their travel. Complete the form below, including a short essay explaining your interest in this award, and your thoughts about how this travel fits into your experience of faith and vocation. Be sure to provide a reference we can contact.

A three-member review panel will select recipients, who must then participate in pre- and post-travel intentional conversations for reflection on faith and vocation. Conversation partners may be members of the review panel, your reference or another faith leader.
