Shobi’s Table Seeking Board Members

Shobi's Table, a new mission start of the Saint Paul Area Synod, is seeking members for its Board of Directors. Following a brief pause in ministry, Shobi's Table is now under the direction of Kari Olsen and is discerning a new way forward. A Letter from Kari Olsen

Dear Friends,

Grace and peace be with you! Shobi's Table has begun the search for its Board of Directors. I am hoping that either you or someone you know may be interested in being a part of this ministry.

What is Shobi's Table, you ask? It is a Mission Development through the Saint Paul Area Synod. It began several years ago through the Wellness Center at First Lutheran on the East Side of St. Paul, as a congregational home for folks who attended the Center. Shobi's Table was gifted a food truck from which it served weekly lunch and communion on Payne Ave. Last year, it was determined that the ministry should be put on pause so as to discern a new way forward. It is now ready to explore how to begin again - this time with a pay-as-you-can cafe model. God has been alive and working through Shobi's Table, and is about to do a new thing!

We are looking for council members to represent nine gift areas (Finances, Legal Council, Cooking Arts, Medicine/Nutrition, Communications, Faith Formation, Social Work, Neighborhood Connections, Business/NPO). One person can fill more than one role. Please read this application for full descriptions and instructions on how to apply.
