For Congregations

The synod is here to walk with our congregations with the best resources for their needs. From renewing your constitution, entering into the call process, or bolstering your efforts to tell your story, the synod is here to consult and lend clarity. Call Process

The ELCA call process engages congregations & church-related organizations in thoughtful assessment and spiritual discernment of how God may be calling them together in mutual ministry“for the sake of the mission and ministry of the church.”

Children, Youth, & Family Ministry

Children, Youth, and Family (CYF) Ministry in this synod is led by the CYF Team with the mission to support, encourage, enhance, and develop children, youth, and family ministries as they effectively share the good news of Jesus Christ. Not only are they a resource for all things CYF, they also host events and learning opportunities throughout the year.

Communications

The manner in which we communicate, both internally and externally, is of great importance to each of our ministry settings. How we communicate lends to an understanding of who we are as church, making it vital that we have a strong grasp on how we communicate and through what channels.

Constitution Review Process

Ensuring that your congregation’s constitution is up-to-date is an important part of your life together. The review process is a time of careful consideration of how your congregation is church in your particular setting. However, it can also feel like a lengthy and tedious endeavor.

Advocates for Racial Equity (ARE)

The synod's anti-racism work is led by the Advocates for Racial Equity (ARE) work group. Their mission is to identify pathways for confronting white privilege and racism in our church and to sustain the journey toward justice and encourage Saint Paul Area Synod congregations to move beyond awareness to public advocacy and activism. Not only do they provide a number of resources, they also have event and workshop suggestions for congregations taking intentional steps forward.
