The Rev. Tom Jenkins

 

Stewardship Coordinator, part-time

 

The Rev. Tom Jenkins joined the synod staff in September 2016. Tom currently serves as Lead Pastor of Mount Calvary Lutheran in Eagan, and previously served at Atonement Lutheran in New Brighton. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee-Knoxville (History) and of Wartburg Theological Seminary. Tom brings a passion for collegiality, a sense of hopefulness, and an excitement for the opportunities for collaboration in our synod's efforts to practice faithful stewardship. Tom lives in Eagan with his wife Stacey and their children.

 

 

In his role as stewardship coordinator, Tom:

  • Develops, plans and promotes local and Churchwide resources, training events, and learning opportunities for congregational leaders in the area of stewardship and faith practices related to material resources
  • Trains lay and rostered leaders to serve as mission interpreters and promoters of vital stewardship practices
  • Serves as a coach to congregations, partner institutions and agencies within the synod
  • Writes the Renewing Stewardship blog
