
Anna Marsh
Executive Assistant to the Bishop, part-time, Monday - Thursday
Anna Marsh joined synod staff in July 2014. A graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College (2004) and Luther Seminary (2008) and an alum of Lutheran Volunteer Corps, she has also worked with the Minnesota Council of Churches and American Public Media’s Speaking of Faith (now OnBeing). She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible at the Jewish Theological Seminary. Anna lives in St. Paul with her husband, Ryan, their daughter, and a rescue dog.
In her role as executive assistant to the bishop, Anna:
- Offers administrative support to Bishop Lull
- Manages the bishop's calendar
- Works as part of a staff team on the synod’s young adult initiative
- Assists with coordination and planning for the ministeriums, Bishop's Theological Conference, and conference & synod assemblies
- Serves as liaison with the churchwide office on synodical and administrative logistics
- Coordinates the synod’s continuing education offerings including the First Call Theological Education program and Learning Cohorts
- Serves as program director for the synod’s grant from the Lilly Endowment
