Dear Brothers and Sisters:
We have started our Advent Season, and another year is about to end. We are so grateful for God's blessings in every ministry through which the ILAG has accompanied churches in Guatemala.
Thinking about the translation of the SPAS blog title, “Caminando Juntos,” I reflected on how far we can get by walking together—not alone, but together.
We want to say THANK YOU for walking alongside us in Guatemala, and we are also grateful for walking alongside of you. Indeed, we have strengthened our relationships in faith, in love, in friendship, in the knowledge of our different cultures, languages, and contexts.
Romans 1:12 NIV
“that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith.”
We are sure this is a reality in our partnership between the Iglesia Luterana Agustina de Guatemala and the Saint Paul Area Synod as we have encouraged each other. This relationship works both ways in mutuality, solidarity, love, trust and understanding.
As we continue to reflect on and celebrate Jesus Christ coming down to this world to be among us, bringing God's kingdom to earth and giving us salvation, we want to wish you:
A Blessed and Merry Christmas on behalf of
the Iglesia Luterana Agustina de Guatemala - ILAG
and all the ministries that you have supported
to give hope and a better future for so many people.
Rev. Karen Castillo
Pastor President ILAG
