Mission Outpost Food Shelf Coordinator

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Burnsville has an immediate opening for a Mission Outpost Food Shelf Coordinator. Prince of Peace has a long history of providing food and other supplies for families in need. This food shelf works in partnership with The Salvation Army. Nearly 14,000 pounds of food is distributed each week, along with toiletries, linens, and clothing items. The ideal candidate has a heart for service and those in need, and experience supervising multiple staff and volunteers. Second language (Spanish) proficiency is a plus. The Food Shelf Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of the food shelf and develops distribution schedules and provides input into the purchasing and inventory of food. This is a 16 hour per week position and includes one evening shift each week.
