STATUS: Part time/Non-exempt 15 hr./wk., 9 mo./yr.: weekday, weeknight, weekends



JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for leading & engaging congregation of St. Philip’s in the ministry of music. Direct Adult Choir, Children’s Choir, Adult Handbell, & Children’s Handbell Choir. Participate with Senior Pastor, Staff and Worship & Music Ministry Team in preparation of music for worship services. Our worship is liturgical and rooted in Lutheran tradition, but also includes music in the hymnody and in works presented by the choirs and a variety of soloists and instrumentalists within the congregation. Singing together as a congregation is a value of St. Philip’s, a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in American (ELCA), creating a coordinated, comprehensive music ministry supporting deepened faith in the Lutheran tradition via meaningful, participative worship.



REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors’ Degree of Music desired 3 years choral or instrumental directing experience Demonstrated piano, computer skills, ability to red music & copyright laws Cohesive engagement with broader staff of St. Philip’s Multi-generational (children, youth, family & adults) experience desired Physically able to lift music monitors & handbell tables CONTACT: Pastor Greg Geier:
