Last month we gathered to express our gratitude to Pastors Nixon Mwitula and Lusungu Msigwa. They have been in Minnesota this past academic year, studying at Luther Seminary. Despite their full schedule of classes and time spent in their contextual learning assignments, on their “free” weekends they managed to visit almost 30 BKB congregations, attend affiliate partner events, our BKB Fall Festival and Synod Assembly.
Thanks to the hospitable folks at Prince of Peace, Roseville, we gathered recently to exchange greetings, offer thanks and our best wishes for safe travel and happy reunions with their families once they return home at the end of the month. Check out our BKB Facebook page for photos from the event.
Their presence in our congregations this past year has been a gift as they preached, taught and affirmed the work of companions. Their presence enabled many of our congregation members to experience Bega Kwa Bega even if they will never travel to Tanzania. In both the large events and in quiet, one-on-one conversations, their presence among us has built and strengthened relationships. We are filled with gratitude.
Asante sana,
Kirsten Levorson
Acting Director of Bega Kwa Bega
