Boundaries Book Group – Fall 2021

Thursday, September 30, 2021 to Thursday, November 11, 2021

This training will be held over Zoom at 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30 AND Thursday, Nov. 11

Boundaries education is required for all rostered ministers in the Saint Paul Area Synod at least once every five years. The initial day-long training includes foundational understandings of boundaries and power along with conversation on harassment, self-care, and the synod’s updated sexual misconduct policy.

Participants study The Integrity of the Body of Christ: Boundary Keeping as Shared Responsibility by Arden Mahlberg and Craig Nessen. Pre-reading and attendance at two meetings are necessary to meet the requirement. This book group is only open to rostered ministers; please no lay leaders or interns. There is no cost, but participants are expected to purchase the book themselves.
