2025 Fall Boundary Workshop

November 13 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Rostered ministers in this synod are expected to participate in boundary training every five years.

We are excited to pilot a new boundary workshop this year! Boundary trainings often focus solely on the leader. What if healthy boundary tending also included consideration of the systems in which the leader inhabits? We are grateful to partner with Healthy Congregations, Inc. to lead us in boundary training for pastors and deacons from a systems perspective. It will be an interactive day to explore boundaries from a new lens. Your feedback will also inform this training moving forward.

If you are due for boundary training but are unable to participate on Nov. 13, please connect with other area synods or LeaderWise to take your boundary training with them and submit to us a certificate of completion.

One of the ways pastors and deacons build trust with those they serve is by staying attentive to boundary situations. As those who are ordained, we are often given privileged access to people and to relationships with others in time of their great need and vulnerability. While the basics of tending that responsibility with care do not change much year by year, in this synod we are committed to a regular pattern of continuing education through boundary-training workshops. It is time for you to renew your certification by attending a boundary workshop, sponsored by us or another synod. I count on you taking time to do this. Thank you for being a trustworthy servant.
