Belong Rosemount
There’s a progressive faith co-op experiment in the southeast Twin Cities!
Belong Rosemount is a faith co-op that seeks to spread the love of God to the south metro, particularly in the community of Rosemount, which currently does not have an ELCA affiliated Lutheran church.
Belong Rosemount is a partnership among seven Lutheran congregations in the south metro, all part of the Saint Paul Area Synod of the ELCA:
- All Saints in Eagan
- Christus Victor in Apple Valley
- Easter in Eagan
- Farmington in Farmington
- Lord of Life in Lakeville
- Mount Calvary in Eagan
- Shepherd of the Valley in Apple Valley
These congregations bring support, leadership and community to this effort.
What’s the Experiment?
Belong Rosemount is experimenting with ways to bring people together for conversation, community, learning and more without being tied to an official organized congregation with no physical structure. Belong Rosemount is open to enthusiastic church goers from other congregations, to those with no church home, those who have little or no history with church or a sense of God in their life. We want to share the love of God in a new fashion! That could look like serving others in the community, conversation at a brewery, a place to learn about God and an encouraging place to ask questions.
Resources
The Saint Paul Area Synod is made up of congregations, mission starts and institutions committed to growing in faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Living out of our identity as Lutherans, we recognize we are grasped by grace and are free to devote our energy to being church in a way that is rooted in tradition and open to experimentation.
