Building relationships became a common theme at our Nov. 23 Guatemala Friends meeting, which featured members from the year’s delegations speaking about their experiences. Sharing God’s love with one another involves listening, asking questions to understand, and reaching out to build relationships based on faith and trust. Since these were the first visits following the pandemic, there was much to share! Balloons and fireworks welcomed many delegations to these reunions. Joyful baptisms, first communions, weddings, and dedications were celebrated—some had been postponed for a year or two.
Delegations to the ILAG in 2024:
- Como Park Lutheran Church, St. Paul
- Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Roseville
- Como Park Lutheran Church, St. Paul
- Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Stillwater
- Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Circle Pines
- St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, Roseville
- Spring Garden Lutheran Church, Cannon Falls
Meeting participants also generated ideas for engaging with ILAG church members, Milagro young women, CLAG students and the Guatemalan culture. These are included as a resource for future delegations. Juli Smith, a Synod Guatemala Committee member, compiled ideas that were generated for your use.
