Dear Saint Paul Area Synod Guatemala Friends,
Warm greetings to you from the Iglesia Luterana Agustina de Guatemala (ILAG) as we enter this holy season of Advent. During this time of waiting and preparation for the birth of our Savior, we are reminded of the light of hope and joy that Christ brings into the world and into our lives.
With grateful hearts, we reflect on the many ways you, our companions in the Saint Paul Area Synod (SPAS), have walked alongside us in faith and solidarity. Your prayers, support, and encouragement have been a beacon of Christ’s love in our ministry. Whether through shared moments of worship, your presence in our communities, or the resources you have so generously shared, you remind us of the strength we find in walking together in partnership.
Advent is a season of promise, and your accompaniment has been a testament to the promises we share as followers of Christ: promises of love, hope, and justice for all. As we work together to serve God’s people in Guatemala, we are strengthened by the relationships we have built and the vision we hold for a world transformed by His grace.
We give thanks to God for the bond we share with you, and we pray that this Advent season fills your hearts with peace and joy. May the light of Christ guide you and your communities as we all prepare to celebrate His glorious birth.
